Warrior is an engaging film with violent, yet exhilarating fight scenes, and a climax that makes one forgive most of the sorry scenes that go in between the fighting. The film follows tightly the wrestling/boxing genre with slight though curious twists. While it is successful in creating interest in the main characters, some of its credibility is lost in a storyline that feels unauthentic. The acting is, for the most part, great, as are the direction and pacing. While not a knockout, Warrior wins its audience’s sympathy by a tight grip.
