What could have been a compelling 30 min short film, is stretched to triple its natural length, resulting in plain boredom and borderline apathy to the main characters. Like Crazy enjoys a sense of authenticity, strong performances by Anton Yelchin, Felicity Jones and Jennifer Lawrence, as well as capable direction by Drake Doremus who also wrote the story together with Ben York Jones. But although Doremus wisely move the film quickly at its start, showing snapshot of a relationship in the making, the story quickly runs out of steam. There is just not enough substance to the plot to sustain it. In all honesty this film deserves only two stars but I am giving it one more for the effort.
