Fist of Fury (Hong Kong AKA The Chinese Connection, and The Iron Hand in the USA, 1972) */*****

The Chinese ConnectionWith a plot as thin as a rice-paper, this Bruce Lee film, written and directed by Lo Wei, has earned a rare one-star rating in my book i.e. its so bad that its almost good... The shallowness of the plot is followed closely by really bad acting. But – this is a Bruce Lee film and thus I am compelled to give it double-rating, another rarity for my reviews. When it comes to fighting scenes, this film gains a shining five-star. From its choreography to perfect rhythm of execution, every fight scene is a delight.
