As far as fast-pace action flicks go, the fourth installment of MI, in its current screen life, excels.
The plot revives the old James Bond style antagonist: a villain aiming at no less than starting a third world war. As for his reasons, one should not waste much energy in an attempt to understand. And while logic or probability are not this film’s strong suit, it provide an open stage for Tom Cruise, as team leader Ethan Hunt, to present fantastic action scenes while showcasing a host of tech gadgets.
Noteworthy is Simon Pegg as the team’s geek agent, whose bits of perfectly delivered humor provide some breathing room in an otherwise super-packed action film.
Here is a tip – empty your bladder before the film’s starts – it’s over 2 hours long and you will not find it easy to take a break to visit the bathroom...
