What this movie lacks in intelligence and wit, it tries to make up in plenty of director’s Guy Ritchie signature slow-motion action sequences. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ Holmes is a far cry from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Holmes. Rather than a Holmes that observes, deducts and hear the dog that didn’t bark, we get a Holmes tailored to the mobile phone generation; a Holmes that sees into the future and is highly skilled in martial arts. Still, as far as fluff action films go, Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law have good screen chemistry and are a pleasure to watch.
