A classic romantic comedy, The Valet is directed with a steady hand by Francis Veber (of The Dinner Game and The Closet) who also wrote the screenplay. It is the story of an anonymous parking valet who is thrown into unexpected fame due to pure coincidence. The plot and comic moments are mostly well-timed. The later part the film suffers some loss of tempo as the director is focusing on wrapping the story quickly to the audience’s satisfaction. Rent it out for a fun evening of laughs with friends.
