Some years from now it’s quite possible a film critic will come up with a smart name for the bunch of comedies produced tirelessly by a group whose names include Judd Apatow, Nicholas Stoller, Jason Segel, Jonah Hill and Russell Brand, to mention a few. The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Knocked Up, Superbad and Pineapple Express are just the tip of this iceberg. Much like the Monty Phyton Flying Circus sketches on TV (and later on the big screen) in the 70’s, this group of filmmakers – directors, producers and actors, produce pieces that range from hilarious to plain dumb. Get Him to the Greek is no different. It is definitely entertaining and hilarious at parts, while it may make you raise an eyebrow at other parts. The good chemistry between the two main actors on this flick - Jonah Hill and Russell Brand, help keep the film energized even when the plot fails.
