Have you ever had a desert that tasted delicious at the start but became too sweat and heavy the more you spooned into it? Inception has good intentions and mostly good acting, but why oh why it loads more and more subplots, complications, and special effects? Round and about, special effects – its overuse in films these days makes one wonder whether the plot serves to drive the use of effects or is it the other way around… I am also not a big fan of the way dreams are typically portrayed in films -- overly sharp and not quite the way most of us experience it. But that is a topic for another blog entry. Yet with all above said, it’s still an engaging film and a definite option, though it did leave me somewhat nauseated and craving some fresh air.
